Why Manual IPR Stripping and Discs May be Doing Too Much: Clear Aligners & Class II Restorations

In this webinar, we will be exploring the difficulties and dangers of using manual methods to perform IPR in orthodontics. We will cover different methods currently used to perform IPR and their limitations. We shall explore how using the Dentasonic system can help predictably perform IPR accurately and safely. The use of Dentasonic IPR system in restorative dentistry will also be explored especially for those using the greater curve matrix system to restore teeth.

About the Lecturer:

Dr. Niki Shah graduated from Barts and The London Dental School in 2011. Since graduating, Dr. Shah has undertaken further education in Orthodontics, in particular Clear Aligner Therapy, and Composite Restorative Dentistry. His passion for minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatments started in 2016 after attending a course in short-term orthodontics. Dr. Shah has helped multiple patients achieve the smile of their dreams by performing cosmetic treatments that require minimal destruction of tooth structure. A philosophy of treatment, whereby patients retain as much tooth structure as possible, is the driving force behind his enthusiasm for the profession. Dr. Shah joined the team at Proligner in 2020 and has taken on the role of providing quality education and support for the dental community. Dr. Shah believes clear aligners should be a tool that can be utilized by all dentists. However, he strictly believes that clinicians only undertake these treatments after having a core understanding of orthodontics and the biomechanics of clear aligners.
